"Minisode" is just a cutesy way to say bonus gifts. They are extra fills for requests that do not have the same requirements as a regular assignment. They are entirely optional and you do not have to participate in the exchange proper in order to gift someone a Minisode!
Quick Notes
- Minisodes do not have to meet the wordcount minimum
- Minisodes should still take the DNWs into consideration
- Minisodes should still be based on a solo character or ship requested by the user you're gifting it to
- There is no deadline for Minisodes, you can submit them at any time from the collection's page on AO3
- If you submit Minisodes before author reveals, it is expected that you maintain anonymity until reveals
- You are not required to tag Minisodes with "Minisode" or "Bonus Gift", but it is appreciated
